Waterford Financial Management, LLC (“Waterford”) is a fee-only full service investment management and financial planning firm.  Waterford began operations in February 2007 and is solely owned by Jonathan Phelan.  Waterford is a completely independent registered investment adviser with no brokerage industry affiliations.

Jonathan Phelan, CFA®, CFP® – Managing Principal

Jonathan began his professional career at Hantz Group in Roseville, Michigan.  Moving to Chicago in January of 2000, he spent over five years with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission at its Chicago office.  He then served for one year as a volunteer leader with Habitat for Humanity in Jacksonville, Florida before founding Waterford in February of 2007.  Jonathan also serves as a Director for the Thompson-Phelan Group, Inc.  He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Saginaw Valley State University with a Bachelors of Business Administration, Finance.  Jonathan is a CFA® charterholder and a CFP® certificant.
